Tour Plan
Morning
9:00: We will begin your cruise adventure by collecting you from your hotel in Siem Reap.
A private, air-conditioned coach will transport you to visit Kampong Phluk floating village, a renowned tourist attraction situated on the Tanas River, which flows into the majestic Tonle Sap Lake.
The village is home to over 1,000 permanent residents, living in charming stilt wooden houses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to explore the village's school, temple, church, and a selection of restaurants primarily catering to tourists.
Afternoon and Night
After enjoying lunch, we will transfer you to Kampong Chhnang, where you will join the Neang Neakii Cruise Boat. The leisurely drive from Kampong Phluk to Kampong Chhnang offers a glimpse into the serene rural life of Cambodia.
Along the way, you can admire an ancient bridge in Kampong Thom Province or take a break for a refreshing coffee if desired.
Upon arrival at Kampong Chhnang, our dedicated cruise members will warmly welcome you with a refreshing drink. After settling into your comfortable cabin, the boat will commence its cruise around Kampong Chhnang's floating village.
Feel free to relax on deck, taking in the picturesque scenery, or enjoy a drink at the bar while witnessing the mesmerizing sunset over the water landscape.
The day concludes with a delectable dinner, followed by a dreamy overnight stay on your floating hotel, nestled on the tranquil Tonle Sap River.
After a satisfying breakfast to energize you for the day, we will transfer you to the pottery village via a smaller boat. Using tuk-tuks - a perfect way to witness the emerald green paddies adorned with sugar palms and experience the warm greetings of children in their stilted wooden homes.
After the enlightening tour, you will return to the boat to indulge in a mouth-watering lunch while overlooking the magnificent water landscape. As we sail towards Kampong Tralach, you can watch local fishermen glide by in their wooden boats and wave to excited children on the shore.
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to experience a traditional Ox Cart ride—a mode of transport still commonly used in rural areas—or alternatively, embark on a cycling adventure to visit the Kampong Tralach Temple.
After this enriching experience, we will return to the Neang Neakii, where you can relish a delightful sundowner accompanied by snacks and drinks, surrounded by the serene water landscape as we continue our cruise towards Oudong, the ancient capital of Cambodia.
Our boat will dock at Koh Chen, also known as Chinese Island, a charming village known for its skilled artisans specializing in silver and copper smiting. Here, you will spend a peaceful night, immersed in the tranquility of the surroundings.
Morning
Following a satisfying breakfast, our first stop will be the magnificent Oudong Temple, situated atop a mountain. Prepare to conquer the 509 steps that lead to the peak, as the reward awaits in the form of breathtaking panoramic views.
Once you reach the summit, you'll have the opportunity to explore a fascinating collection of historic stupas, tombs, and memorials.
After immersing ourselves in the rich history and beauty of Oudong, we will return to the boat to enjoy a leisurely lunch on board.
Afternoon and Night
The afternoon will be dedicated to relaxation as we continue our journey towards serene Koh Dach, also known as Silk Island nestled on the enchanting Mekong River. Here, we will dock for the night, allowing you to unwind and appreciate the tranquility of the surroundings.
As the sun rises over the river, you will wake up to a delectable spread of local and continental cuisine, creating the perfect backdrop for a delightful breakfast.
This serene moment will take place on Koh Dach. Here, the local population operates hand looms beneath their houses, while others engage in the art of dyeing and spinning silk using spinning wheels crafted from bicycle parts.
Expert weavers will guide you through the intricate weaving process, from the nurturing of silkworms to the creation of beautiful scarves.
After immersing ourselves in the rich weaving heritage of Silk Island, we will return to the boat. Take this opportunity to gather your belongings as we begin our voyage towards our final destination, Phnom Penh.
