Afternoon

All the guests will gather at the Saigon welcome lounge. While our staff gathers your details, feel free to unwind with an extra cup of coffee. 

Our journey starts from the vibrant atmosphere of Saigon and embarks on a 70-kilometer overland journey south to My Tho. There we encounter our cruise, which also is our home for the next 5 days, awaits. 

After everyone on board finishes with the settling, our voyage along this significant Asian waterway commences.

As the ship gracefully moves upstream, a lunch buffet is presented in the restaurant. 

For the remaining time of the first day, you should enjoy the scenic beauty of the Mekong Delta bathed in a golden twilight. This is an excellent time to acquaint yourself with fellow travelers and participate in our official welcome, complete with canapés and prosecco.

Evening

As dinner unfolds, the ship is likely to reach the Tan Phong Island area near Cai Be, anchoring midstream. 

In case you are looking for some late-night pleasure, interesting classic films or thrilling documentaries are aired at the evening cinema.

Morning

For the first morning, you should wake up early to embrace the breathtaking dawn scenery.

Our daily morning Tai Chi class is open to partake before treating yourself to an opulent breakfast buffet. 

We gain entry to the secluded Tan Phong Island by a local boat, a small enclave nestled amidst one of the expansive Mekong River tributaries flowing toward the nearby sea.

During a tour to a nearby workshop in Cai Be town, we'll have the chance to witness the making process of rice paste, rice paper, rice cookies, and rice wine. This area is not only rich with palm trees but it is also renowned for its coconut candy production. 

As the vessel continues its upstream journey, take some leisure time for yourself or visit the bar to savor an authentic Vietnamese coffee, all while observing the lively activity along the riverbanks.

If you want to explore more of Tan Phong, join us with an optional cycling tour through orchards of local fruit and the serene countryside landscapes of Tan Phong Island.

The first stop of our cycling group is a local family business expert in handicrafts made from water hyacinths. 

We will continue our ride for 3 km along a canal before stopping at a local temple for a refreshing break. Lastly, we pay a visit to a tropical fruit farmer's home for a tasting.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, you can relax and enjoy some private time on the balcony or at the bar as we continue upstream. 

We then arrive at the Sa Dec region and anchor near Binh Thanh, one of the major Mekong islands. This island is home to various settlements that survive on growing water hyacinths. 

While strolling around the hamlet, you'll acquire valuable insights into local life and might observe the entire traditional mat-making process. 

Otherwise, another optional group excursion - cycling is to be announced. This activity is exclusive to the Jahan ship. 

You'll also have the chance to meet a local old couple who have lived on the island their whole lives. They like conversing with guests from other countries.

Once on shore, the optional cycling discovery around the island begins. With some interesting stops, this tour offers a scenic view of the island. 

The cycling tour leads to the village of Long Ta, which is famous for its scarf weaving. We return to the pier taking our tender boat back to the mothership afterwards. 

Evening

While waiting for dinner, all passengers are welcome to join us in the lounge for a lecture about living in the Mekong Delta.

The ship cruises toward our overnight mooring in Tan Chau.

Morning

The next day, we will explore the captivating fish sanctuary of Vietnam.

Upon disembarking, immerse yourself in the lively town life of Tan Chau on an exciting "xe loi" trip. We make a stop at the vibrant local market near one of the town's temples which offers a fantastic opportunity to interact with the friendly vendors and try your hand at bargaining.

Continuing on, we visit a Cao Dai temple and meet with one of the priests, who enlightens us about the unique beliefs and spirit of Cao Dai. 

Our final destination is a fish farm which is a business of a local family. Opened many years ago, this business is the main source for their livelihood. Here, they might tell us some essential knowledge to manage such a unique enterprise.

On this Jahan cruise, the optional group activity for guests is cycling. The island’s flat terrain will make this ride pleasurable and easy along lush green paths with many mango farms. 

En route, we stop at a small market for a little break. Next, we continue our cycling tour with some exciting sightseeing on the way: A frog farm and a workshop specialised in weaving high quality mats.

Afternoon

Back on board our floating "home," we sail towards the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. Brace yourself for a captivating and leisurely cruise through the deep Cambodian countryside toward Phnom Penh.

The entire afternoon is yours to enjoy. Use the afternoon for massages, relaxation on a terrace deck sunbed, or private balcony retreats. 

You might want to visit the bridge, where the captain always has a fascinating story to share about "his" river. 

Alternatively, if you want to deepen your knowledge of local cuisine, join a prepared culinary workshop specialised in Khmer gastronomy.

Evening

After a leisurely cruise from the afternoon into the evening, the boat arrives and docks (mid-stream or at the pier) at Phnom Penh. 

Let yourself relax on board with our entertaining activities, socialize at public venues, or relax in the privacy of your cabin. 

NOTE: Due to immigration rules, you cannot enter the country after dinner to independently explore the city.

Morning

Last day, your final breakfast will be served on board your aquatic haven before we come to bid farewell to the ship.
