Tour Plan
Morning
Your cruise adventure begins at 9:00 when our team will collect you from your hotel in Siem Reap.
You will be transferred in the comfort of a private, air-conditioned coach to visit the captivating Kampong Phluk floating village.
Situated on the Tanas River, which flows into the renowned Tonle Sap Lake, this village is a popular tourist attraction. With over 1,000 permanent residents living in stilt wooden houses, it offers a unique glimpse into their way of life.
After exploring the village, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before being transferred to Kampong Chhnang, where you will join the Neang Neakii Boat.
Afternoon
The drive from Kampong Phluk to Kampong Chhnang takes approximately 3.5 hours and provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the laid-back rural life of Cambodia.
Along the way, you can view an ancient bridge in Kampong Thom Province or make a stop for a coffee break, according to your preferences.
Upon arrival in Kampong Chhnang, our cruise members will warmly greet you and serve you a refreshing welcome drink. Settle into your comfortable cabin while the boat begins its cruise around the Kampong Chhnang floating village.
Relax on deck, take in the picturesque water landscape, or indulge in a drink at the bar as the sun gracefully sets. The day concludes with a delightful dinner, followed by a dreamy overnight stay at your floating hotel, nestled on the tranquil Tonle Sap River.
Morning and Afternoon
Indulge in a delicious breakfast to energize your day as we embark on an exciting adventure. We will transfer you to land via a smaller boat, allowing you to visit the enchanting pottery village.
To explore the villages, we will hop on charming tuk-tuks, providing the perfect vantage point to admire the stunning scenery of this province.
After the insightful tour, return to the boat and savor a mouth-watering lunch while admiring the magnificent water landscape. Watch as local fishermen gracefully glide by on their wooden boats, while over-excited children wave from the shores.
Our journey continues towards Kampong Tralach, where you will have the unique opportunity to experience an Ox Cart ride, a traditional mode of transport still widely used in rural areas.
Alternatively, you can choose to explore the Kampong Tralach Temple by cycling.
Evening
After an enjoyable afternoon, return to the Neang Neakii and unwind with a sundowner, accompanied by delectable snacks and refreshing drinks, all while surrounded by the scenic water landscape as we cruise towards Oudong.
Oudong, the ancient Cambodian capital, held its prestigious position between 1618 and 1866 before the capital was moved to Phnom Penh.
As we dock at Koh Chen (Chinese Island), a quaint village known for its skilled artisans specializing in silver and copper smiting, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the night. Enjoy a peaceful night's rest in this serene setting.
Fuel up with a satisfying breakfast before we embark on a visit to the awe-inspiring Oudong Temple. Perched atop a majestic mountain, this temple offers breathtaking panoramic views that can be savored after conquering the 509 steps to the peak.
Once there, you will be rewarded with an exploration of historic stupas, tombs, and memorials, each holding its own fascinating story. After immersing ourselves in the rich heritage of Oudong Temple, we will return to the boat.
As we sail leisurely towards Phnom Penh, you can enjoy a relaxed lunch on board, savoring the flavors while taking in the picturesque scenery along the way.
Our journey concludes upon arrival in Phnom Penh, with an estimated time of arrival at 14:00. Here, our services come to an end, leaving you with cherished memories of a remarkable adventure.
