Tour Plan
Warmly welcome by our English speaking guide when you arrive at Yangon International Airport. We then transfer to hotel to take a short rest before joining the sight-seeing tour.
The tour sightseeing starts with the visit to the old colonial-style city center with City Hall, Mahabandoola Park with Independence Monument, Strand road and Yangon Jetty by Car. Then we continue visiting Botahtaung Pagoda and Ahma Mya Nan Nwe, a devotee to the Botahtaung Pagoda. She was known to be a dragon guarding the pagoda and BogyokeAung San (Scott) Market, is the most popular market (close on every Monday & Public holiday) and where you can buy luxury item, handicrafts, food stuff, clothing, jewelry, fashion and consumer goods.
In the afternoon, we visit Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha and continue visit to Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop and the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda. We witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset. After that, we will come back to hotel to relax.
After breakfast, we start the trip to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda known as “Golden Rock” about 04 hours driving from Yangon. Regular car or coaches can reach only Kingpun Base Camp at the foot of the hills, from there takes an open truck up to the top of the mountain. When we reach the main pilgrimage site, we will see the sacred boulder covered by gold leaf is balance precariously on the very edge of cliff and enjoy sunset from this unforgettable site. The 9000 candle lighting festival is also a popular among the events in Myanmar.
After breakfast, we drive to an ancient capital Bago.
Upon arrival, we can visit first Kyaik Khat Wain Kyaung, to see monks come out for receive donation if arrive in time and Shwe Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha (55 meters long), Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, 28 Meter high huge image of Kyaikpun Pagoda and visit Kanbawzathardi Golden Palace of King Bayinnaung.
In the afternoon, we return to Yangon and rest of evening is free on your own.
Today, we will take the early flight to Bagana.
Upon arrival, driver will transfer you to the hotel for check in.
After that, we will visit to the one of Asia’s most popular archeological destination. We visit colorful Naung U Market and visit some of Bagan most famous pagodas, including Shwezigon Pagoda, which is the most important reliquary shrine and house images of 37 Nats in Bagan. Then, we continue visiting Kyansittha Uhmin (Cave), Gupaukgyi Temple, it is a 13th century cave temple with interesting fine frescoes of scences from the Jataka.
In the afternoon, we continue visiting Htilominlo Temple with old murals and friezes and then approach to Tharabar Gate way into Old Bagan. Then, we visit to Ananda Temple. It is a whitewashed masterpiece and with four standing Buddha Images, Thetbyinnyu Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple which is famous for its interlocking mortar thickest brickwork. In the late afternoon, we visit Shwesandaw Pagoda for beautiful sunset and come back to hotel to relax.
Have breakfast at hotel. Then, we continue explore Bagan by visiting Horse Cart.
In the afternoon, we will have experience for bird watching near Lawka Nanda Pagoda. After tour, we come back to hotel and relax at hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, we transfer to jetty to embark at Aye Yar Jetty, then the ship will cast off at 5:00 hrs, sail upstream through and approximately 10:00 hrs arriving at Yandabo Village. Then, we start sightseeing tour to Yandabo Village and its surrounding, we can observe the famous production of terracotta from the riverbank clay and we will have experience for traditional pottery making at various stages. In the late afternoon, we enjoy stunning view of sunset with a a peaceful walk along the river shore and stay overnight at hotel in Yandabo.
Have breakfast at hotel. Today, we continue sailing upstream and approximately arrive to Mandalay 17:00 hrs. Disembark from the ship, we transfer to hotel and stay overnight in Mandalay.
After breakfast, we drive to visit Amarapura. Highlights of the tour today include Mahagandayon Monastery, which is a school for young monks, and observe the lunch process in morning, U Bein Bridge which is more than two centuries old and at 1.2 km longest teakwood span in the world. On the way, visit to the tradition hand-weaving silk workshop.
In the afternoon, we visit Mahamuni Pagoda, gold of hammering, Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda by surrounding 729 inscribed marble slabs, known as “the world’s largest book”, Shwenandaw "Golden Palace Monastery" to observe finest Myanmar wooden architecture, and visit Atumashi Monastery. We admire charming beauty of sunset from Mandalay Hill. After that, we come back to hotel to relax.
This morning, we have experience to try the taste of Myanmar Snack for today breakfast. We explore by trishaw and taste of famous Mohinga (noodle dish with fish soup), Shan noodles, Mandalay salad, Myanmar pancake and various sweet snacks and our guide will explain the detail some of the secrets behind this delicious food. Then, we sit at a local Teashop and have new wonderful experience that you can never have in other parts of the world.
In the afternoon, we transfer to jetty to take a private chartered boat for a cruise over the Ayeyarwaddy River towards the former capital of Mingun. After a 45-minute cruise, we arrive in Mingun, famous for its huge unfinished pagoda also home to the Mingun Bell, considered as the world’s largest uncracked ringing bell. We also visit the beautiful white Hsinbyume Pagoda. Then, we return to Mandalay and relax in the evening.
After breakfast, we drive by road to Kalaw. Kalaw is a former colonial British hill station on the western edge of the Shan Plateau in Myanmar and it is cool during the day and cold at night. There are many hiking trails amid gnarled pines and bamboo groves. Palaung Tribe Village is also famous for trekking and a narrow valley where the Palaung cultivate cheroot, tea, damsons and mangoes on the hill. In the evening, we transfer to hotel and stay overnight at Kalaw.
After breakfast, we drive to the hills and across the Shan Plateau to visit Pindaya Cave, is the natural limestone cave and Shwe U Min Paya which is full of Buddha images of about 8000. Continue the picturesque Boutaloke Lake and visit local handicraft workshop in which making traditional Shan Paper and Umbrella, where we also have experience.
In the late afternoon, we take a fresh breath and photo stop for beautiful big banyan trees at the base of the Pindaya Hill. Then, we transfer to NyaungShwe jetty to take boat transfer to hotel and overnight in Inle Lake.
After breakfast, we visit one of the 5 Days rotation market (only on market day) and do sightseeing tour to magical Inle Lake, which is located 1328 meters above sea level and 22 km long and 11 km wide. The highlights include the fisherman rowing in the one-legged style characteristic of Inle Lake boatmen and the gardens of grass and earth floating on the surface of this shallow lake used for growing vegetables. Besides the enjoyment of the scenery we can also visit the holiest religious site PhaungdawOo Pagoda, Silk Weaving Village of Inphawkhon, Burmese Cats House, Cheroot making and other cottage industries. Then, we visit to NgaPheKyaung Monastery, a beautiful old tea wood building.
In the late afternoon, we have experience for catching fish in the shallow water by using just one leg to balance on water like a Inntha fisherman and then connect drive to Heho airport for the flight back to Yangon. When you arrive in Yangon, we transfer to hotel check in relax in the evening.
