Tour Plan
Upon arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in.Â
After a break, our guide will walk you through the small streets of Luang Prabang to admire the local life here. We will make a stop at one of the petanque courses to join a game with a local team.
Lastly, we will stop by the Night Market to find some lovely selections of handmade textiles made by the local and hill tribe people.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Morning
After breakfast, we'll head to the bike store to select a suitable bicycle before starting the 30-kilometer ride to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls along the Mekong River. The journey is between two and three hours long, medium in difficulty with some hills, and we'll stop to tour some of the villages along the way.
Along the forest path to the waterfall, you can see the Bear Rescue Center, which offers close views of Asiatic bears.
Then, get back on your bikes and enjoy a great downhill ride to the Mekong River, where you can board a long-tail boat for a 1.5 - 2 hour picturesque trip back to Luang Prabang. To cap off a fantastic day, you'll cycle back to the bike store.
Transfer by tuk-tuk back to your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang
08:00 - 08:30: You will be picked up by our English-speaking guide. Arrival at the Elephant Village Camp, you are welcomed by your guide and participate in a short briefing about elephants. You will have a chance to join the fascinating activities below:Â
- Elephant Feeding: Interact with elephants
- Explore Elephant Village: Visit the elephant hospital, museum, gallery, and dung paper-making facility.
- One-on-One Experience:Â Enjoy the impressive experience of being a Mahout. 1 person per elephant
- Bathe Your Elephant:Â Take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan River for an exhilarating bathing experience!
- Boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall:Â Ride in a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax or swim in the clear water (Note: Water levels will vary with seasonal conditions)
Have a buffet lunch at our Elephant Camp restaurant, which is served with coffee /tea and drinking water (vegetarian options are available)
14:00 - 15:00:Â Transfer back to your hotel to take a short refresh.
Travel to the nearby Heuan Chan, a traditional wooden house dating back to the 19th century. You will join a class of making Lue-style dreamcatchers, which are used in important ceremonies to chase the bad luck away and bring in good luck.
Transfer back to your hotel to finish the day. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Morning
After breakfast, we will visit a nearby market to buy some fresh food before continuing further to Muang Soune, which is located 65 km from the center in the north of Luang Prabang.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the host family before strolling around the village to see the life of local people. We then visit the house of the chief of the village and have a talk with him.
The lunch will then be served at the house of the host family.
Afternoon
You can opt for relaxation or take part in agricultural activities like rice planting and harvesting in the nearby rice fields (depending on the season), traditional fishing methods (you can try your catch for dinner); or a stroll through the farm and rice field. In addition, you can try taking a dip in the Nam Ou river or assist the host in making dinner.
We'll participate in the local Baci Ceremony before the dinner. The traditional stories will be narrated by the host family and interpreted by our guide during the meal.
You may wish to stroll around the riverbank before going to bed.
Morning
Wake up early if you want to admire the morning sunrise over the Nam Ou River and the beautiful surroundingsÂ
After breakfast, tourists will experience traditional fishing techniques by the stunning Nam Ou River. You can also take a boat trip to explore the surrounding areas.
11:00:Â Come back to the village to join the transfer back to Luang Prabang.Â
After the check-in at your hotel, you are free for the rest of the day. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

We will have the cooking class and bamboo weaving class with English speaking guideÂ
08:30: Transferred by our driver from the hotel to the Bamboo Experience house. Discover the secrets of bamboo in Laos culture as well as enjoy some of the beautiful nature.
Begin your half-day at the Bamboo Experience by meeting with the rest of your group for an explanation of the traditional and modern uses of bamboo and its significance within Lao culture.
Your knowledgeable guide will show and explain to you the uses and importance of many bamboo products. Next, start your simple bamboo weaving class with a craftsman bamboo weaver.
Try your hand at knife sharpening, bamboo cutting, and then try the traditional bamboo weaving for about 1 hour to complete your own drinks coaster to take home with you as a souvenir.
Then, proceed to the cooking class demonstration (where you are free to assist), including deep-fried stuffed bamboo shoots with pork, steamed fish, bamboo shoots wrapped in banana leaf, fermented bamboo shoot dipping, and sticky rice.
You can sample your dishes at the end of the session, sitting in a traditional Lao house (Pavilion style) overlooking the wonderful scenery and rice fields.
Transfer back to your hotel to refresh. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

As the sun comes up, be ready to participate in Laos' most revered custom: the daily morning alms giving.
Following that, we will stop by the temporary morning market next to the historic Royal Palace to watch the people’s daily lives.
After breakfast, we climb Mount Phousi's peak for a pleasant tour of the revered golden stupa and the beautiful scenery of the Mekong River
Later, you will go to the Royal Palace Museum, which was constructed for King Sisavang Vong and his family during the French colonial era.
A stunning example of Lao temple architecture, Wat Xiengthong is the next stop on your city tour. It features a stunning "tree of life" glass montage on the back temple wall.
Before getting on the plane for your departure flight, you may take a stroll around the neighborhood to explore on your own.Â
