Day 1 Vientiane Arrival

Morning

Welcome to Vientiane - a city where historical charm harmonizes with modern vitality, offering serene temples, bustling markets, and a vibrant cultural scene. When you arrive at the airport, the tour guide personally welcomes you and takes you to the hotel for a smooth check-in process. 

After a short rest, embark on a sightseeing tour of Vientiane's major attractions. Begin your journey at Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Laos, renowned for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. 

Continue your exploration with a visit to Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple that once housed the revered Emerald Buddha.

Afternoon

En route, stop at the famous That Luang Stupa, where you can admire the grandeur of this golden stupa and learn about its significance in Lao Buddhist culture.

Capture memorable moments at the Patuxay Monument, Vientiane's own version of the Arc de Triomphe.

Conclude your day with a delightful welcome dinner at one of Vientiane's fine restaurants.

Day 2 Vientiane – Vang Vieng

Morning

After breakfast, venture to Buddha Park and marvel at approximately 200 religious images scattered throughout the park, each with its own unique symbolism and significance.

Next, visit the lively Morning Market, where locals gather to buy and sell a variety of goods, including fresh produce, handicrafts, and traditional delicacies. 

Journey to the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong and witness the intricate artistry of traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations. Learn about the cultural significance of these textiles and observe skilled artisans at work.

Afternoon

After exploring Vientiane, catch an express train to Vang Vieng, a small and tranquil town nestled on the banks of the Nam Song River.

Day 3 Vang Vieng - Tham Jang Caves

Morning

After breakfast, visit the cave of Tham Jang, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the valley and the town of Vang Vieng in the distance through the gap cut by the limestone wall.

Afternoon

Tourists will take a visit to Tham Phoukham caves this afternoon. The most notable feature of the cave is its bright blue and crystal-clear lagoon at the bottom of the cave. There is a natural pool right in front of the caves, offering a delightful opportunity for a refreshing swim to cool off from the warm climate.

Day 4 Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang

Morning

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city nestled in the lush mountains of northern Laos.

Afternoon

Then, we will start our exploration tour at the Royal Palace Museum, where the country's most sacred Buddha image is kept in a richly ornamented shrine.

Next, ascend to the top of Mount Phousi for a memorable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa and panoramic views of Luang Prabang.

Conclude your day with a visit to the vibrant Night Market, where you will find a delightful selection of handmade textiles crafted by local and hill tribe artisans.

Day 5 Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves

Morning

Embark on a leisure cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside. 

After that, tourists will explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.  

Pause at several riverside villages, including Ban Muangkeo, known for its local rice wine production, and Ban Xiengmene. Immerse yourself in the daily life of the locals and gain insights into their traditional customs and crafts.

Ascend to the summit of Wat Chomphet for breathtaking views of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.

Afternoon

On the way back to Luang Prabang, pay visits to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, two small villages renowned for their silk weavings and Saa papermaking.

Day 6 Luang Prabang - Xiengkhouang

Morning

Depart from Luang Prabang and journey to Xieng Khouang by road, traversing the scenic countryside

Afternoon

Head to the Plain of Jars, a remarkable site characterized by hundreds of large, ancient stone jars scattered across the landscape. Today, you have the opportunity to explore Site 1 of the Plain of Jars, the largest and most accessible site open to tourists.

Admire the life of local people in Xieng Khouang for the rest of the day.

Day 7 Xieng Khouang - Vientiane

Morning

After breakfast, depart for Mouang Khoune, the former capital of the province that suffered heavy damage during the Vietnam War due to American bombings.

Along the way, visit H'mong ethnic minority villages, as well as Thai Dam (Black Thai) and Phuan communities. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of these villages and learn about their traditional way of life.

Upon arrival in Mouang Khoune, visitors will explore the remains of the temples of Wat Phia Wat and Wat Tha Foune, gaining insight into the region's history and architectural heritage despite the devastation caused by the war.

Afternoon

Catch a flight to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos. Upon arrival, take a short rest to rejuvenate before beginning your exploration of the city.

Take a short walking tour of the Lao capital. Stroll around the city sights, including iconic landmarks and cultural attractions. Then, observe the evening sunset along Mekong Riverside.
