Tour Plan
Welcome to Myanmar. When you arrive at Yangon International Airport, please look for your guide or driver holding a card bearing your name. You then transfer to hotel and check in (please kindly note that the check in time is 14:00 hrs).
After taking rest, you will start your interesting discovery of Yangon. The sightseeing tour starts with a visit to the old colonial-style city center with City Hall, Maha Bandula Park with Independence Monument, Strand road and Yangon Jetty by Car. Then we continue visiting Botataung Pagoda and Ahma Mya Nan Nwe, a devotee to the Botahtaung Pagoda. She was known to be a dragon guarding the pagoda. We later visit Bogyoke Aung San Market, closed on Monday, formally known as Scott Market, where you can buy literally all sorts of items from luxury goods, handicrafts, food stuff, clothing, jewelry to consumer goods.
In the afternoon, we visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda with the colossal reclining Buddha. Then we make a short stop at the Royal Lake where we can admire the view of the Karaweik Hall overlooking this scenic lake. Finally, we visit world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, witness the golden dome light up at the sunset. After tour, we transfer back to hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Mahasi Meditation Centre to see monks come out for receiving donation. You will be able to discuss with venerable monk and meditation instructor for one hour and try it comfortably. This is the sole way for the purification of beings for the overcoming of sorrow and Lamentation, for the destroying of pain and grief, for reaching the right path, for foundations of mindfulness. The four foundation of mindfulness are: (1) The contemplation of the body (2) The Contemplation of feelings (3) The contemplation of mind (4) The contemplation of mind objects Obviously, this way should be followed by those in search of happiness, with a view to getting rid of the impurities of mind, which are the cause of their sufferings. In the late afternoon, we return to hotel and stay overnight at hotel in Yangon.
We have breakfast at hotel then transfer to the airport to take domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, driver will transfer you to the hotel for check in.
After a short rest, we will visit bustling Nyaung Oo Market where locals sell and buy all sorts of produce and goods. You'll have chance to explore some of Bagan's most famous pagodas, including Shwezigon Pagoda, which is the most important reliquary shrine. Then, we continue visiting Kyansittha Uhmin (Cave) and Gubyaukgyi Temple, a 13th century cave temple with interesting fine frescoes of sconces from the Jataka.
In the afternoon, we visit Htilominlo Temple with old murals and friezes. Then we head to Tharabar Gate way into Old Bagan. Our next stop is Ananda Temple - a whitewashed masterpiece and with four standing Buddha Images, Thatbyinnyu Temple - the largest temple in Bagan, Dhammayazika Pagodaknown for its distinct brickwork. In the late afternoon, we visit Shwesandaw Pagoda for beautiful sunset before coming back to hotel.
This early morning, we will join Yoga Class with open-air facing the pool or temple view in hotel compound. Then, we enjoy breakfast at hotel and leisure for morning.
In the late afternoon, we take excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River for sunset with cocktail and some snack. After that, we come back to hotel.
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport to take a flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, we directly drive to visit Amarapura, the “City of Immortality”. First, we visit a silk weaving workshop, then stop by Maha Gandhayon Monastery, home to more than 1,000 young monks dedicated to strict study and discipline. We then take a strolling on the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teakwood bridge spanning 1.2km across the Taungthaman Lake, you'll have chance to meet locals and mingle with them.
In the afternoon, we take a sightseeing tour of Mandalay. We visit Mahamuni Pagoda which houses one of Myanmar’s most prominent Buddha images. Then, we continue visiting Mandalay Palace, head a bit south to the Kuthodaw Pagoda which contains a collection of 729 Buddhist marble slabs, known as “the world’s largest book”. Our next stop is Shwenandaw Kyaung "Golden Palace Monastery" - the only surviving royal structure in Mandalay where visitors can appreciate the wood carvings and intricate 19th-century architecture and Atumashi Monastery. Last of all, we enjoy romantic moment watching sunset from Mandalay Hill.
In the early morning, we start Tai-Chi Club with open-air near Mandalay Palace. Then, we enjoy breakfast at hotel. Free time in the morning.
In the afternoon, we transfer to jetty to take a private chartered boat towards the former capital of Mingun. After a 45-minute riding, we arrive in Mingun, which is famous for its huge unfinished pagoda also home to Mingun Bell, considered as the world’s largest uncracked ringing bell. Then, we visit the beautiful all-white Hsinbyume Pagoda. After tour, we come back to hotel and free time in the evening.
Have breakfast at hotel. Free time until driver picks up you at lobby then transfer to Bagan airport for domestic flight to Heho.
Upon arrival, you will transfer by car to Nyaung Shwe jetty to take a boat to hotel for check in. Then we discover the Inle Lake, passing through villages with stilted houses and floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. We will also see the one-leg rowing fishermen who steer their boats with incredible balance. Besides the enjoyment of the scenery, we make our way to Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary. We visit Silk Weaving Village Inphawkhon of to observe the traditional silk weaving techniques. We also spend time playing with cute cats at Burmese Cats House. We stop at a cheroot factory where local Burmese cigars are rolled by hand and other cottage industries. Then, we visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, a wooden monastery built on stilts before transferring back to the hotel.
After breakfast, we drive to Elephant camp in Magway village. This elephant sanctuary is all about taking care of the elephants, so guests can scrub, bathe and feed these gentle giants. We will explore the forest area on elephant back, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids around conservation area. Lunch will be at elephant camp.
In the afternoon, you will trek and explore the surrounding areas with local guide. You are also invited to plant regional trees from nursery. The idea is not only to encourage forest recovery, but also to educate the local community about the importance of reforestation and the risks posed by haphazard deforestation. We then walk back to the main camp and drive to Kalaw.
After breakfast, we drive to Naung Shwe. Starting from Nyaung Shwe, we trek to the cave on the way up and reach Lwe Kyan village. After lunch, we visit some stupas and continue to Loikhaw village where we spend night in community house. We will observe way of life and get around the village.
After breakfast, we leave community house. We continue to Naungdel and Lwelin Village. We will have lunch at Lwelin Village.
After lunch, we go down through forest station. We will visit meditation monastery, enjoy a view of Inle Lake. After that, we return to Inle boat Jetty and transfer to hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, we drive to Heho airport for domestic flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, you connect to Yangon international airport for your departure flight. End of services.
