Tour Plan
Welcome to Myanmar. When you arrive at Yangon International Airport, our drive and tour guide welcome you at airport then take you to hotel in Yangonto take your luggage and take a short rest (please kindly note that the hotel rooms will be ready at 14:00 hrs. Early check-in will be guaranteed with a surcharge).
After a short rest, we start to visit the first highlight in Yangoon – Shwedagon Pagoda, it becomes the symbol of Myanmar. The pagoda sit atop of a hill and is 99 meters. The main gold-plated dome is topped by a stupa containing over 7,000 diamonds, rubies, topaz and sapphires. Its outstanding thing make it can be seen from anywhere in Yangoon in day or night. Then, we enjoy your welcomed dinner with special cultural show.
Today, we will explore the beautiful colonial city with the streets and buildings were colored by the British cultures. Our first visit is the Sule Pagoda – the charm of Yangon that built more than 2.500 years ago. Afterwards, we visit some colonial building such as City Hall, Emmanuel Church to Chinese temple. We will walk in the town to have a view about the life of local people. After lunch, we will do some shopping at Bogyoke Market, used to be called is Scott Markets. This is largest market in Myanmar where you can easy to find any Myanmar goods such as gems, jewelry, handicrafts, etc. You will take overnight train to Mandalay.
Upon arrival, our guide picks you up and transfer to the hotel for fresh shower, take a rest at your convenience before exploring Mandalay Royal Palace with marvelous royal residences. We will discover the Royal Mandalay relics including Golden Palace Monastery, Imperial Palace and Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world’s largest booking that set in tone with 730 leaves and 1460 pages. WE end the fantastic day by overlooking panoramic sunset form Mandalay Hill.
After breakfast, our driver will transfer you to the pier to take the ferry boat cruise to Bagan where is home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, etc. We will have full day on this type of transportation for view of the river banks of Irrawaddy River. We will arrive in Bagan in the late afternoon. Then, we will come to the hotel for check in and relax. Overnight at hotel, meals on your own.
Today, we will spend the whole day to visit the Bagan’s heritage sites. We will begin exploring the most famous temples including Ananda, Gawdamgangyi, Hitomino and especially Shwezigon that is believed to enshrine a bone and tooth of Gautama Budda, the pagoda is a stone pillar containing Mon language. Afterwards, you will have opportunity to enjoy the sunset from the second highest temple – the Shwenandaw.
After breakfast at hotel, we will start to explore the local people’s life by visiting the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market. This is typical local market in Myanmar and also is the economic centre of Bagan. Head into there, you will see all the Myanmar’s goods from fruit and vegetables to clothing, jewelry, etc. Afterwards, we will visit a lacquerware workshop where you will see local artisans make their ancient craft and watch beautiful examples on display. We continue visiting some old temples in Bagan before enjoy a sunset cruise on Irrawady river. Then, we come back to hotel and the evening is free at leisure.
After breakfast, we will drive to Kalaw – the best place to trekking overnight in Myanmar with the cool air, the calm atmosphere and green streets. We will enjoy a trekking up and down to visit the local tribes with signification population of Nepali Gurkhas and Indian Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. We spend a whole day to experience their daily life with variety of cultures while you are offered behold the great mountain view from your trekking route.
We will get up with the sound of nature and keep our pace downhill toward Inle Lake. Upon arrival at Nyaung Shwe, our boat man will await to bring you to your resort. Enjoy your comfort accommodation with our resort in Inle Lake.
After breakfast at the resort, we begin visiting Phang Day U Pagoda where house five small golden Buddha images. This is an important religious site in the Shan State. Enjoy the lunch, afterwards, we will visit the Indein located on the western bank of the lake. A Buddha image has enshrined at a whitewashed stupa, which is on the summit of a hill. The village is an ideal place where you can wander through a typical lakeside village and observe local people in their daily activities. From the top of old Shwe Inn Dein, you can see cluster of hundreds of ancient stupas. There is no better chance to behold the scene of Pa-O, Padang tribes in their traditional dresses. Our guide will offer you some visit to local habitat of Pa-O people in Indein. If time permits, we will visit Nampan Village to witness the local living by the river.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort, then we will head into the vibrant Five Day market where you can see the colorful minority tribes congregate to sell their wares and make purchases from headdresses, jewelry, and clothing. After shopping time, we will transfer to the airport to take domestic fligth to Yangoon in the afternoon. Upon arrival, our driver will transfer you to the hotel for free at leisure.
