Tour Plan
Morning
We will meet for a bicycle tour of Cambodia’s capital city. We start along the colorful riverfront to the Royal Palace, the last palace built during the French colonial period
Continue to cycle to Silver Pagoda, which is named for the over 5000 heavy silver tiles that cover its floors.
Visit the National Museum, which was built in 1917 in the traditional Khmer style, will be our next destination.Â
After the visit, we will take a ferry across the river to explore modern temples and monasteries as well as traditional crafts made by local artisans.Â
We will meet up for dinner at a local restaurant.
Morning
We take a 46 km journey to Oudong, where we will branch off to Phnom Preah Reach or Oudong Mountain. Then, you will conquer more than 400 steps to the top to admire the stunning view of rural Cambodia with green rice paddies and stilted houses.
We will have a picnic lunch at a local Khmer house.
Afternoon
We will get back to the city for a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a memorial site of the S-21 interrogation and detention center of the Khmer Rouge regime.Â
We have dinner at a local restaurant.
Morning
Kick off the day with a 2-hour ride to Kampong Thom, passing through the ancient temple site of Sambor Prey Kuk. With a guide, we will pay a visit to temples that were constructed in the 7th century and are known for being the oldest temple sites in Cambodia.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
AfternoonÂ
Later, we will have a ride through rice paddies and small villages. After that, get back to the van for a 2-hour trip to Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat.
We will have dinner at a restaurant inside a traditional Khmer house.
Morning
After cycling to the Angkor Wat complex, we arrive at the enigmatic Ta Prohm and are greeted by views of ancient temples that have become overrun by enormous root plants. Keep on to see other prominent buildings from the Khmer Empire, including Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, and the Terrace of the Elephants, a 2.5-metre-high ornamental wall decorated with carved elephants
Have lunch at a nearby restaurant
Afternoon
After enjoying lunch, we head to Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992 considered the wonderful masterpiece of Khmer architecture and culture.
When finishing the visit, we will cycle back to Siem Reap.
Morning
We will begin the day by cycling through a rural area to the Banteay Srei Temple, which is famed for its elaborate carvings in pinkish sandstone that cover the walls like tapestries.
As we continue down rural roads, we have a chance to peek into a nearby village and see daily life there.
If we still have time, we'll visit the Landmine Museum, which is managed by a former child soldier for the Khmer Rouge who is now a de-miner.
AfternoonÂ
Take a lunch break before we reach Kbal Spean, an ancient Angkorian site known as the Valley of 1,000 Lingas.
Later on, we will hike uphill through the jungle for about three kilometers before reaching a riverbed with submerged carvings and a stunning waterfall (during the wet season only).
We will transfer back to Siem Reap after our excursion.
Morning
Raise yourself from sleep to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat and start riding to the Rolous, which was the first capital of the great Khmer Empire.
- The first spot was the temple of Preah Ko, composed of six brick towers still partly covered by stucco and dedicated to Jayavarman II.
- The second spot of the Rolous is Bakong Temple, built in 881 AD, the state temple and the largest of the city.
We head back to our hotel, and the late morning and afternoon are free to explore the old market or to just rest by the pool.
Afternoon
Late afternoon, we will drive to Tonle Sap for a sunset cruise and a visit to a floating village (if water levels are low, we will head to Phnom Krom instead)
Transfer back to town for a farewell dinner.
Morning
We will ride for a short distance through a captivating rural region after breakfast. After that, travel by bicycle to the wonderful farm /workshop known as the Silk Farm of Phouk, where you can observe the process of silk production.
We will return to your hotel after the tour.
