CU CHI TUNNEl HALF DAY

Itinerary: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnel half day (Start 8h00 – End 14h00 or Start 13h00 – End 19h00)
Located 60km from HCMC, Cu Chi is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens.
Start our tour in the morning/afternoon by picking up from the hotel (Pick up is free in the center of the tourist area in District 1!), then drive to Cu Chi Tunnel. Here, we will watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed, then explore the tunnels. After that, we enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war) before returning to Sai Gon. End the tour at the office, then you will come back to the hotel on your own.

On arrival we will attend the midday ceremony’s extravaganza to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers. After lunch time, we return to Ho Chi Minh city with the stop on the way to visit Cu Chi tunnel – the network of over 200km which became legendary in the War, to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid. Here, we can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Finally, return to Ho Chi Minh city and then the tour at the office, then you will come back to the hotel on your own.

Day 01: Ho Chi Minh Nam Cat Tien National Park (Lunch, Dinner)
At 6h45-7h15am, after the breakfast at the hotel, our guide comes to pick up and then depart for Nam Cat Tien national park with 150km along the National Highway 20 to a mountainous area full of roadside plantations of rubber and green coffee. on arrival, we will begin the wildlife experience with the trekking time into the forest & Giant Tung Tree. We have the picnic lunch on the way and have the hammock rest before visiting the Bear and Wildlife Rescue Center where (The center sometime will be closed without prior notice due to the urgent situation to protect the bear from bad effects of environment, the itinerary will be adjusted to adapt to the unforeseen situation)
In the late afternoon, it’s time for chilling out at Jungle Lodge’s swimming pool and biking around Nam Cat Tien village to explore the local life. Overnight at Farmstay

Day 02: Nam Cat Tien park – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast, Lunch) 
Today, we will wake up & take an early boat trip down Dong Nai River to enjoy the most beautiful nature in the village and Nam Cat Tien National park surrounding area. Next, we will visit Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species center where the people here specialize in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of endangered primates naturally found in the surrounding region, and resident primates have all been victims of the illegal wildlife trade. Have lunch time before return to Ho Chi Minh city. End the tour at the office where you will have to come back your hotel on your own way.

NATIONAL PARK HEAD QUARTER – BAU SAU (Dinner)
After lunch time, instead of take the bus trip back Ho Chi Minh City, we take a 10 km drive and 05 km trek through the jungle to Bau Sau (Crocodile Lake). Check in and have a rest. In the late afternoon, we visit Bau Sau, take a chance to admire the majestic beauty of ancient cedars, and relish the scenery tops poetic and lyrical blend created by Bau Sau water garden. Have dinner and overnight in Bau Sau. (Accommodation is basically the rangers’ outpost with some basic rooms (shared shower/toilet and without A/c).

Day 03: Nam Cat Tien – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast)
Breakfast will be served by the rangers in the forest. Check out. Start trekking into the rainforest.
