ITINERARY:
Day 01: Houei Xai – Pakbeng (Lunch)
The cruise tour Houei Xai to Luang Prabang 2 days is started by picking up at the border, then enjoy traditional slow boat for the cruise downriver to the river town of Pakbeng. We will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of the scenery with the stops for visiting at some Hmong, Yao and Khmu ethnic minority villages to observe their traditional lifestyle. Lunch is served on deck as we enjoy the slow paced cruise. Check in at the hotel/ bungalow on arrival, enjoy the sunset time on Mekong river and overnight in Pakbeng.
Day 02: Pakbeng – Pak Ou Cave – Luang Prabang (Breakfast, Lunch)
After the breakfast at the hotel, we will continue the boat trip downstream, passing the areas of un-spoilt forest with little villages along the riverbanks and perhaps the odd elephant or two with his mahout. You will visit a Hmong before enjoy the lunch on deck. Next, we will take a visit Pak-Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site and containing thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. On arrival Luang Prabang, we will transfer to the hotel and end the tour.
