The Beng Mealea and Koh Kher trekking 2 days will give us a great time to enjoy a 2 days trekking with 1 night camping at Koh Kher. Beside that, we will spend time to visit Phnom Kulen Mountain and Beng Mealea temple.
Day 1: Siemreap – Phnom Kulen and Beng Mealea – Koh Kher (Lunch, Dinner) – Trekking 12km
Today, the Beng Mealea and Koh Kher trekking 2 days will be started by picking up at your hotel in Siemreap, adn then enjoy 1 hour driving to the foot of Kulen Mountain where we start hiking up the hill. The first 500 meters are uphill with some rock. Then it is flat all the ways. We make our first water stop at the pagoda in the middle of the climb to get some energy before heading through the jungle to the visit one Thousand Lingas. Then we visit the Grand Reclining Buddha and enjoy swimming at the 40 meter high water fall. After the trek, we visit Beng Mealea temple.
This trip will make special as we can escape from the crowded tourists in Angkor complex. This special temple was featured in the Lost Temples by Indiana Jones and The Two Brothers by a French movie maker, Jean Clake Annaud. Beng Mealea is located 50km from Siem Reap. It is an untouched temple hidden in the jungle surrounded by its mood 900 meters by 1,200 meters. Beng Mealea is a beautiful, charming temple. It has it own character which cannot be found in any other temple. We can feel very peaceful sitting inside the temple as we can get rid of the many tourists at Angkor area. After the visit, we enjoy the snack and drinks before transferring to Koh Kher. Then we visit Sayong village before having a basic shower with cold water. We have dinner, Cambodian barbeque style and rice. Overnight in our tent.

Day 2: Discover the Koh Ker Temple Complex (Breakfast, Lunch) – Trekking 10km
Today, after the breakfast time, we will enjoy a walking path of 10km to visit the temples in Koh Ker complex. Koh Ker was the former capital of the King Jayavarman IV, reigned 928AD, when he moved the capital from Angkor to Koh Ker. Angkor period refers to the period from the year 800 when the first capital was settled in Rolous Groups and lasted in the year 1,432. The capital in Koh Ker remained for 20 years before it has been moved back to Angkor area and was settled at Phnom Bakheng where people climbed for the sunset. Visit the temples in the complex including the Pyramid style Prasat Thom, Prasat Chen, Prasat Kraham, Prasat Damrei, Prasat Neang Kmau and Rohal. Finally, return to hotel and end the Beng Mealea and Koh Kher trekking 2 days.
