MEKONG DELTA ADVENTURE FULL DAY

Itinerary: Ho Chi Minh – Ben Tre – Ham Luong (Lunch)
Pick up at 8:00am – 8:30am and then depart for Ben Tre. On arrival at Ham Luong dock, we will take a boat trip cruising along Ham Luong River to visit the local workplaces, discover how local people use ageless techniques to create their crafts, including activated charcoal, dried coconut, handy coconut husk brooms, and many family businesses using coir, or coconut fiber…. Next, we will drive around the village roads by “Xe Lôi”, the local vehicle, which is a kind of motorized rickshaw before doing the kayaking through the lush tropical canal. At lunch time, we will enjoy the delicious at a local host house then have a rest here or your can do cycling around the village (this activity is an optional if time available and will be done by your own) to visit the local fruit plantation, enjoy seasonal fresh fruits, and spend time relaxing while being rowed in a small boat slowly through the natural canals. Finally, return to Ho Chi Minh city and end the tour at the office and go back your hotel on your own way.

Cu Chi Tunnels – Mekong Delta
(Full day)

Itinerary: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnel – My Tho – Mekong delta (Lunch)
At 6h45 – 7h30am, after the breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnel. On arrival, we will explore the tunnels by watching an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime. Next we will spend time to visit the remaining areas with the living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, weapons factories, field hospitals… After that, enjoy the  special tea and cassava (guerrillas’ food during the war). Break time and lunch at the local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we continue driving to My Tho city, then enjoy a boat trip on Tien River with the natural beauty overview of islands such as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise along the riverside.
Take the cruise through the small canal by sampan, treating yourself to the beauty of the countryside, and taking a short cycling around the village which will certainly be an unforgettable experience when participating in the Mekong Delta tour. Here, we also visit the coconut candy workshop, and enjoy seasonal delicious fruits & honey tea, hear the Southern Vietnamese folk music show by the local people. Finally, we return to Ho Chi Minh City. End the tour at the office and go back your hotel on your own way

HO CHI MINH – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAI RANG MARKET

Day 01: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (Lunch)
Pick up at around 8h00am at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city, and then depart for My Tho. On arrival, we visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century before taking the sampan boat trip cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
With the stop at Unicorn Island for walking in the village paths to contemplate the orchards, enjoy tropical fruits and Vietnamese folk music performance. Next, we visit the fruit plantation and then row a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Have lunch at the local restaurant and have a short rest.. In the afternoon, we will cycle around the Tan Thach village to explore the local people with their daily life in the Mekong delta (For those who do not like cycling, they can relax on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze). Finally, depart for Can tho to check in at the hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.

(Full day)

Itinerary: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be floating market – Tan Phong Island (Lunch)
Pick up at 6:30am – 6:45am at the hotel, and then depart for Cai Be. On arrival, we take a boat trip to explore the floating market with the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Next, we continue to visit a small family business to see how they made coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn before wandering around a small villages to visit the fruit plantations, accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
Afterwards, we paddle through a series of small canals to experience the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. The next visit is Tan Phong Island where where you can enjoy yourself with the nature before having lunch time. Lunch time is a good time to get closer with the local people and learn how to prepare special Vietnamese dishes. Food is cooked by yourself, and fresh river food is served in the heart of the garden. After lunch time, we can take a chance to cycle around the village to see how the daily lives are. Finally, take the boat trip back Cai Be and drive back Ho Chi Minh city. End the tour at the office where you will return to your hotel on your own way.

Next, we visit a small family business to see how they make the coconut candy and rice popcorn, then wandering around the small village to visit the fruit plantations, the traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. Afterwards, we paddle through a small canals to experience the charm of the Mekong Delta
Here we will learn how to prepare the Vietnam foods, cook and enjoy the lunch with the local people in the heart of the garden, and then free at leisure or cycle around the village to see the local daily life in the Mekong Delta. Finally, drive to Can Tho city to check in. Overnight in Can Tho.
